Bonvadis® Demonstrates Strong Clinical Evidence and Commercial Momentum in Wound Care
Oneness Biotech presented today at the J.P. Morgan Healthcare Conference, one of the world’s most influential healthcare investment events. President Dr. Shuling Cheng outlined the company’s global strategy and growth platform, emphasizing Oneness’ commitment to building a leading metabolic disease company. A key focus of the presentation was Bonvadis® (ON101) and its role in redefining wound care and limb preservation.
Oneness is now entering its next phase of development, centered on the global commercialization of Bonvadis®. The product is currently approved in 11 markets, including the U.S., China, and major Asian countries, with a strategic goal of reaching approximately 70 markets by the end of this year.

Addressing a Major Unmet Global Burden
More than 500 million people worldwide live with diabetes, and approximately one-third will develop diabetic foot ulcers during their lifetime. Up to 30% may ultimately face amputation, creating not only a medical tragedy but also an enormous economic burden. Global wound-related healthcare spending exceeds US$300 billion annually, with the U.S. accounting for nearly half.
Importantly, around 90% of wound-care spending occurs in hospital settings, underscoring the limitations of existing therapies in accelerating healing and preventing severe complications.
“Bonvadis® is designed to change the trajectory of the disease, not just close wounds faster,” said Dr. Cheng. By modulating macrophage activity, Bonvadis® shuts down chronic inflammation and reactivates tissue repair, enabling:
- Shorter treatment duration and hospital stays
- Fewer surgical interventions and readmissions
- A significant reduction in amputation risk
- A shift from hospital-intensive care toward outpatient and home-based management
This positions Bonvadis® as a value-based therapy with the potential to improve outcomes while reducing system-wide costs.

Strong Clinical and Real-World Evidence
Oneness has established a comprehensive evidence base for Bonvadis®, including systematic reviews, randomized controlled trials, and real-world studies across multiple countries.
In a multicenter RCT, Bonvadis® achieved a 60.7% complete healing rate at 16 weeks, significantly higher than the comparator. Two-year follow-up data showed an 80% reduction in overall amputation risk.
Real-world studies in high-risk populations further demonstrated consistent healing benefits and up to an 85% reduction in amputation risk at one year, including in patients with infection and peripheral arterial disease. These results highlight both the clinical and economic value of Bonvadis® for healthcare systems.

Building a Platform for Global Commercialization
Oneness has also invested early in a fully owned, globally compliant manufacturing facility with annual capacity of up to 25 million tubes. This infrastructure supports worldwide supply, protects margins, and strengthens partner confidence as Bonvadis® expands internationally.
With U.S. market access progressing, national scale-up in China, and European regulatory pathways underway, Bonvadis® is positioned for broader global reach.
Advancing Toward a Global Metabolic Disease Leader
In addition to wound care, Oneness briefly highlighted its next-generation metabolic innovation pipeline, underscoring the company’s long-term vision. Dr. Cheng concluded that Oneness is building a multi-engine growth platform driven by a de-risked commercial product, forward-looking R&D, scalable manufacturing, and global execution capabilities.
Bonvadis® stands at the forefront of this strategy—already delivering real-world value to patients, physicians, and healthcare systems worldwide.
