GMP Manufacturing Site

Bonvadis® > About > GMP Manufacturing Site

The manufacturing site, located in southern Taiwan, was built with a commitment to sustainability and eco-friendly operations. The facility is certified to ISO 13485, MDSAP, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and has obtained verifications for ISO 14044, 14040, and 14067, reflecting its dedication to high standards in medical device manufacturing and environmental management.

In line with international GMP principles, the Nanchou plant has implemented a robust quality system under ISO 13485 to ensure that all processes — from raw material sourcing to finished product delivery — meet global standards for medical devices.

Automated Production

The plant utilizes advanced automated production lines to reduce manual intervention, minimize contamination risks, and enhance product consistency. Key processes, including weighing, emulsification, filling, packaging and printing, are fully automated to maximize efficiency and quality assurance.

Green Manufacturing and Sustainability Initiatives

The Nanchou plant integrates eco-conscious practices throughout its operations. From production planning to staff training, the focus is on minimizing environmental impact while pursuing business growth. Notable initiatives include:

  • Installation of a rainwater recycling and storage system to reduce water consumption and promote resource reuse.
  • State-of-the-art wastewater treatment using anaerobic biological processes (UASB) and BioNET technology to minimize chemical use and sludge generation.
  • Adoption of a high-efficiency tubular boiler with up to 96% energy efficiency, significantly cutting CO₂ emissions.
  • Implementation of solvent distillation and recycling processes to reduce waste and optimize costs.

Proactive Discharged Water Quality Management

Environmental protection is a core value at Nanchou. The plant enforces strict controls over discharged water quality, exceeding regulatory standards through the following measures:

  1. Twice-daily visual inspections for early detection of anomalies.
  2. Daily sampling and analysis aligned with EPA water discharge standards (independent test reports available monthly).
  3. Semi-annual function tests to verify ongoing compliance with EPA regulations.
